How does Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser work?

Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser is based on selective photothermolysis, which targets melanin or tattoo ink particles by emitting high-energy short pulses (nanoseconds).
The laser energy is absorbed by the target pigment and quickly explodes into tiny particles, which are naturally metabolized by the human lymphatic system, while reducing thermal damage to surrounding tissues.

Different Wavelengths (532nm, 1064nm, 1320nm) for Different Treatment Needs:

1. 1064nm: Deep penetration, effectively decomposing dark tattoos such as black and blue and dermal pigments (such as nevus of Ota, birthmarks).
